Explanation of volunteering in Portugal
The aim of this project is to alert the population to global social, economic and environmental problems, to contribute to the dissemination and adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals set out in the United Nations 2030 Agenda and to encourage the voluntary work, active participation and cooperation among all. . We hope to spread the desire to help others, make a difference for people and the planet, and show young people that volunteerism and solidarity are fundamental values that must be present in their daily lives. Through the activities developed, the community will be able to recognize and work to address the challenges proposed by the SDGs, and will be encouraged to participate in these issues, thereby reducing the lack of constructive responses to global sustainable development issues. Young people are expected to become more involved in this and other topics, becoming active agents of change and launching new projects at local, national or even international level.
